Phew, pardon me please whilst I take a few deep calming breaths and pat my hair back into place after that rousing rendition of John Paul Young’s 1978 hit “Love is in the Air”. Love certainly has been in the air this morning at the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie, and it’s been in the gluten free cake mix and the red chocolate kisses as well.
A lovely sunny Saturday seemed the perfect time to create the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie’s Love Cake. Three layers of deliciously moist gluten free chocolate cake, sandwiched together with cocoa buttercream frosting, and covered with a layer of blindingly white icing kissed all over with red chocolate lips. Delicious to look at, superlatively good to give, and capable of creating warm fuzzy feelings in any eater.
