Peanut Butter Hearts a trembling

Delicious crunchy creamy peanut butter hearts

Just popped a, hmm, what is the collective noun for a group of hearts? A beat? A thud? A more romantic trembling? In honour of the just-passed Valentine’s Day I’ll refer to a trembling of hearts that I’ve just popped out of their moulds, ready to melt and reveal their creamy crunchy peanut butter centres. I had the great fortune to live in California for a year, and developed amongst other things an absolute adoration of peanut butter candy. (There was a similar level of adoration for surfers, sandy beaches, redwood forests, and seeing the Golden Gate Bridge from my bedroom window.) It’s not particularly common here in the UK so I’ve always had to make my own, I’ve not been quite as fortunate with making my own surfers but I’ll be up on the roof again during the next lighting storm hoping for the best.

Get away from the peanut butter hearts Igor, you’ve had quite enough before bed time.

Thuddingly yours, Halo from the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie in Birmingham UK.

  1. Get down from the roof and back into the kitchen – start making another batch of thuds, I’m on my way to Brum for a taster!

Seriously, good luck with this, an amazing idea….already waiting for the next blog installment x

  2. After a happy hour or two straddling the roof peak screaming “Live damn you, LIIIIIVE!” at the stormy skies I have been prised off the tiles and back into the kitchen, much to the relief of our resident wasps’ nest inhabitants who were becoming a tad tetchy.

Gluten free cake pops going up this weekend, I’ll send you a batch soon to test the delivery! xHx
