Sunshine Cake Pops (gluten free)

The more eagle-eyed and astute of you may have noticed that this is the Halo BAKING Emporium and Chocolaterie, yet to date all posts have related to delicious chocolate. Please refrain from throwing popcorn at the screen, as the Emporium today lives up to the first part of its title.

Those of you who were near Birmingham in the UK today may have noticed it was rather dull in the weather department. In fact a veritable plethora of “d” words could be used to describe the general meteorological conditions; dull, dreary, dismal, dank, and verging on depressing if the etiological theories on weather related mental states are to be believed. Describe it in whichever way you choose, there could be no denying that a little sunshine was needed to brighten the day.

As our nearest star had shown it was not to be relied upon, happy as it was to derelict its duty in such a flagrant manner, the sunshine came in the form of these delicious gluten free chocolate cake pops. A covering of cheery yellow chocolate dotted with happy blue sugar flowers conceals a deliciously moist gluten free chocolate cake, blitzed with a buttercream cocoa frosting and shaped into a sphere on a stick. Easy to eat (repeated and vigorous testing this afternoon confirms this) and perfect for parties. Sunglasses at the ready if you order these from the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie; the only gluten free cake pop provider in the UK!
