Easter Chocolate Selection from the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie in Birmingham UK

From the windows of the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie fresh spring growth can be seen budding and bursting forth. In honour of the coming months of deliciously fresh fruit (and inevitable t-shirt sun tan), I’m proud to present the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie’s Easter Egg Chocolate Collection, with three fresh fruit fillings and more than a hint of spice.

Firstly an already popular taste sensation, re-made in egg form. A white chocolate shell with a filling of fiery chilli and lime dark chocolate ganache. A brushed red stripe decorating the egg does warn of the spicy nature of its contents!

The first of the fresh fruit fillings is the immensely popular passion fruit. Made to the same recipe as the much loved Passion Fruit Kisses, this is a white chocolate egg with orange stripe filled with fresh passion fruit filling so fresh and zingy it could almost be considered one of your five a day. (Almost. The US have re-classed pizza as a vegetable for school dinners {it’s got tomato on, therefore = vegetable} but I’m not going that far with my claims!)

The very popular Passion Fruit Kisses re-imagined for Easter.

A new creation for Easter is this delicious Strawberry Filled Egg. Fruit flavoured fillings can be a real disappointment in chocolates, although I will admit that over Christmas I often have to eat ALL of the fruit flavoured Quality Street just to check my initial impression of them tasting nothing like fruit at all. These Strawberry Filled Eggs are different, as in keeping with all my creations they have NO flavourings in and are instead composed of a liquid filling comprised of real fresh strawberries, including tiny sections of soft baked fruits. This liquid strawberry goodness is held in a milk chocolate egg with red dot decoration.

Brand new and delicious Strawberry Delights - made with real strawberries and not a hint of flavourings in sight!

And finally the new creation that I have personally enjoyed tasting the most. British Blackcurrants and Cream. A blend of milk and dark chocolate creates the egg which holds a liquid filling made with real British Blackcurrants, fresh cream, and a dash of Crème de Cassis. (If you would like to order for someone who avoids alcohol this ingredient can be drunk by me instead of added to the mix left out, please just ask as I make to order.) Decorated with a purple dot and utterly delectable.

A new British classic: beautiful British blackcurrants make the filling of every one of these mouthwatering Easter eggs.

Any combination of up to 3 of the above is available as a box of 12 for £13.00, (http://www.etsy.com/listing/94914071/halo-easter-egg-chocolate-box) or one flavour can be ordered in a bag for £7 (http://www.etsy.com/listing/94914470/halo-easter-egg-chocolate-bag). A thoughtful and high class alternative to the sugary pap sold as “Buy One Get TWO Free!” in the supermarkets every year in the build-up to Easter. And as with everything created in the kitchens of the Halo Baking Emporium and Chocolaterie, these chocolates are made in a gluten free environment with no gluten containing ingredients.
